"Made" -- I know I just introduced it in another thread is just not the right term; we should use "sired" (as in vampires) or "infected" (as in werewolves). "Made," aside from that one scene in the Keaton-Nicholson Batman movie just doesnt have the right associations.

[seriously]I've always fantasized about a non-gamer game where all the regular players bring a non-gamer guest. I think it would be lots of fun.[/seriously]

Of course, in my fantasy we play strip D&D with supermodels.

"Sorry Angelique! The orc scored a critical hit, and your halfling rogue takes double damage. Yeah, and lose the baby doll shirt."

"Oooooh...sorry girls! You all failed a Reflex save, and take full damage from the sorcerer's fireball. I'll be collecting panties now."

Hmmmm...I smell a d20 supplement. Dibs!! You heard it here!

Two years ago we started a "new player" game, filled with women who hadn't gamed before, and specifically designed to not be intimidating. Now four of those players are die-hard gamers. :D

Even better, since two people are moving away, we're bringing another two women into it in the next few months, and the campaign keeps getting better and better.

Just the way this reads to me: Piratecat: multiclass DM/Pimp.

Myself, I've probably converted 15-20 over the years, but I suspect that many no longer game. My wife is now a die-hard, though.

Oh, and she and I have spawned two potentials.

Well, it's my fault that now there are ca. 20 female gamers more in this corner of the world, so....

:D

And the one I didn't make (but who was a gamer before - thanks to my ex-gf) is now my fiancee...

Half my current group is made of people that started with me. They are getting better at it, too which is cool. I think our best adventures are still to come. :)

Current newbie group: 8 guys and girls, two of them had played two evenings before.

Usually, I have two or three fresh bloods when I start a new campaign.

Directly, about a half-dozen; indirectly (ie, as group efforts by me and members of the aformentioned half-dozen) about the same number again.

Let's see...brother, brother, sister, mother, brother's friend, brother's other friend, son, son. Looks like I brought in 8 in all. Of those, however, I think the only ones still gaming are my two sons.

It's funny. Until the last 3-4 years, everyone I knew that gamed was someone I tought gaming to, with the excpetion of about 8-10 people. So around 50 people, give or take. WotC owes me a cut, I think...

It's funny, I thought question of "making" gamers precluded having children, at first, too... :D
