Renowned Professor Stephen Hawking, Lucasian Professor of Mathematics at Cambridge University and author of A Brief History of Time and The Universe in a Nutshell, will lecture at the Hebrew University on
THE ORIGIN OF THE UNIVERSE
The lecture, in English and sponsored by the Hebrew University and the British Embassy, will take place on Thursday, December 14th at 5 pm.
Number of seats limited, entry by invitation only.

I'd say something about mother nature, but that won't be polite. :)
 

As usually, completely useless to anyone on dial-up. I hope they have a transcript of the lecture later.

Of course, I only ever made it chapter four of his book. I can read some pretty dry stuff, but that was just too dry for me.

Frankly, it wasn't spectacular and the Q&A was amusingly clumsy. Still, it was in some ways clearer than the book. I agree, it was all but unintelligable - and I'm a physicist :confused:

P.S - it's all over now.
