PPPPPPPOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

uhh, yea, I'm psyched. Haven't seen He-Man since I was a kid. Now, if I can just remember to watch it...

Should be cool for us d20 fans to watch. Yeah, its not full fantasy, its more fantasy/sci-fi mix, but still fantasy.

I like the figures so far too. I bought Man-At-Arms the other day.

I liked it. I think some of the things they've done are improvements. Prince Adam isn't as muscular. Skeletor is more than a magic user, which means he can fight hand to hand. Some of the other characters (like Tri-klops) are less useless. The plot was decent, although it could have used some polishing.

They're doing a Captain Marvel thing now. Teenage Prince Adam says the magic words, and transforms into the most powerful man in the universe. What I don't like, is that they've given He-Man the mind of a teenage guy who is still basically a spoiled prince with a good heart. If I were doing it, the hero would also transform mentally, becoming more confident, more mature, wiser. Instead, He-Man does not have a plan, and makes some pretty lame fighting banter ("maybe you can return it for a refund"). Hopefully, this won't be as bad as I fear.

Did they offer a reason why He-Man needs a secret identity? It seemed so arbitrary here. Sure, I can come up with a dozen reasons on my own, but it's so patronizing for Sorceress and Man-at-Arms to say to Prince Adam, "you can't tell anyone you're He-Man" and that's it. His destiny is to become Eternia's greatest hero, treat him with a little respect.

The art was nice overall, and He-Man's haircut is definitely more modern, and an improvement. The original He-Man's voice was way cooler. I also miss the music from the original series. And the females in the original series (Teela, the Sorceress, and from She-Ra) were really sexy; not so much in this one. Not that that's a big deal, this is a kids' cartoon.

I'll keep watching. Good start, but much room for improvement.

Voice Cast
Cam Clarke... Prince Adam, He-Man
Kathleen Baar... Evil-Lynn
Lisa Ann Beley... Teela
Garry Chalk... Man-at-Arms, Whiplash
Brian Dobson... Keldor/Skeletor
Paul Dobson... Trap Jaw, Tri-Klops, Man-E-Faces
Micheal Donovan... King Whatshisname (Prince Adam's Father)
Gabe Khouth... Orko, Mekanek
Scott McNeil... Stratos, Merman, Ram Man, Clawful, Beastman
Nicole Oliver... Queen Whatsherface (Prince Adam's Mother), Sorceress

Trap Jaw was the best-looking villain. Evil-Lynn seemed the most powerful. Prince Adam was an annoying punk, but He-Man was better.

My main complaint is Skeletor's voice -- seemed even more nasal-y than Skeletor did in the original series. I did like that he was a competent Fighter as well as magic-user, though.
