Head of the class (stonegod judging)[Concluded]

Even without the mindlink, Tali could proably guess Raven's plans. Raven communicates to him as she works to free the cultist.

"If the watch takes him, we gain nothing. I'm going to let him go & then lets follow him. Do you have any skills in this."

Tali presuably does.

"You follow him." Raven sends over the link. "I'll follow you."

Raven whispers to the others after William leaves. "Tali will follow him, & meet up with us back here, unless you want to meet somewhere else. I'm going to walk William out. Fill me in later."

Raven then dashes out the door after William. "Wait. I'll walk you out."

Raven offers to further conversation, really, but walks near William until they're out of the complex. This should allow Tali a chance to follow unobserved a little later without losing track of William. Once there're out in the city, presumably, it will be easier for Tali to follow him without being seen. Once she & William are out of the complex, she says "OK. I'm off to run some errands. See you soon. Don't worry. It will be OK."

[sblock=Outside]"I think this is important enough that we should report it. Reporting back is almost always the right thing to do on a scouting mission, or so some of the front line 'forged told me. I think our current task is like that."[/sblock]

[sblock=Outside the eastern gate]Shoot nodded in agreement as Anvuss spoke. He made a lot of sense to the other 'forged. Shoot liked Anvuss...he was smart![/sblock]

As Raven and William are stepping outside, she spots Anvuss and Shoot heading her way. Anvuss and Shoot see Raven with the red robed cultist. Tali lurks in the shadows inside the tower, having no difficulty in stealthily following Raven and William so far.

Raven sees this as a good excuse to ditch William in an obvious way. "Goodbye William." she says. "We'll meet again shortly." She then pointedly turns her back on him and walks towards the two warforgeds.

"Hello." she says brightly. "Where's the watch?" She rotates her body so she can follow William and Tali with her eyes. She does not plan to let Tali out of her sight. After chatting a bit, she plans to take off after him.

OOC: EDIT: messing with my colors. I don't find blue particularly easy reading. Any preferences? I think I'll take Cyan.

Italimelk will continue to follow William. Unfortunately, he doesn't know how to hide from William while making sure Raven can follow his trail, so he's just going to have to hope she's better at spotting him than the cultist is.

Shoot spoke up first. "There was a watch-man just outside the gate. But we found something that Anvuss said we should re-report to you." He hoped Raven would be pleased with this development. Besides, it was Anvuss's idea anyway, and Anvuss was smart. Wasn't he?

OoC: Cyan works for me.

OOC: Patlin's busy, so I don't know how long Anvuss will take to report. Raven will listen, but has no intention of allowing Tali to trail William alone. Pretty much whatever Anvuss says, Raven will leave very soon, telling them to get help from Seat if they need it. She'll remind them that there are dead bodies and captives up in the lab, and they shouldn't sit all day.

Raven has a +4 spot check. In general, I'd think it would be easier to follow someone, where you're constantly looking ahead of you at them, than to spot someone trailing you, where you'd have to be glancing over your shoulder periodically. Also, Raven knows to look for Tali, whereas William wouldn't.

"We have obtained an additional information source." Anvuss looks around, not wanting to say more with the cultist about.

The cultist continues on out of the gate. Tali moves to follow, and Raven has a few moments to speak with Anvuss before they slip out of sight.

OOC: Go ahead and have the conversation between Raven and Anvuss. If it turns into an incredibly long conversation, I'll give you a gentle reminder so that Raven has enough time to keep Tali in sight.
