"I think the best thing is to carry it to the black carriage in the loading dock to the north" affirms Seat, without stopping a second. "See you later."
That's not a satisfactory answer to Raven. She fears the codex is what turned that cultist into a vargoule. (As he was touching the ink inside?) She will pursue Seat, calling for him to stop.
Tali steps back from the black veiled "woman" and hurls his blade of light at Bryllys instead, but his aim is off and he misses.
Anvuss charges at Bryllys, just managing to squeeze between two cauldrons, and swings hard at the flying brain. His blow connects solidly, and with the strike from Shoot, a small crack appears in the glass.
The body of the black veiled woman loads the last of the papers from it's end of the table into a crate. Suddenly aware of the intruders, it spins to face the party, bone-white claws tearing through the black fabric of it's silk opera gloves.
Sweat beads on the brow of the yellow robed man, but still he is held fast.
Combat, Round 3:
Bryllys' voice once again oozes through your minds, "Fools! You will pay for your insolence with your lives!" His jar unsteadily floats 5' to the north (O23), and the air ripples between Anvuss and him.
[sblock=Anvuss]A painful, roaring pressure assaults Anvuss' mind. Please make a DC 14 Will save or suffer 12 points of damage as malevolent mental energies rip through Anvuss' mind. As this is a supernatural ability, Bryllys does not suffer an AoO for using it while threatened.[/sblock]
OOC: Raven is up next in Round 3, although she may be delaying her action, depending on whether or not Seat's answer to her question was satisfactory.
Sounds to me like it's a pretty solid decision to let Anvuss charge in this circumstance, so let's do it. Anvuss rambles in and hits Bryllys where the sun don't ... er ... um ... hits him hard.

That's not a satisfactory answer to Raven. She fears the codex is what turned that cultist into a vargoule. (As he was touching the ink inside?) She will pursue Seat, calling for him to stop.
OOC: Actually, that was the cultist that Raven spilled ink on (hence the ink stains). But it's the heat of battle, and Seat is behaving a bit strangely, so she is free to do as she likes. Does she move to try and block Seat's path? (If so, what does she do?)
Well, if Raven has time, she'll move to L18 to block the doorway. "Seat, are you crazy? If you put the codex in their carriage, they'll take it. We're trying to recover it."
Raven plans to hold her ground, preventing Seat from moving through her square.

As Raven moves to block the door, she drops her guard against the body of the black veiled "woman", but it's claw misses her by a wide margin. She moves up to block the doorway.
OOC: Seat is up next in Round 3.
Seat would need a DC 25 tumble check to get past Raven. If he fails he'd still get past her, but she'd get an AoO. Whether or not she would take it ...

OOC: The skeleton used up it's AoO on Raven for this round. Does anyone want to take an AoO on seat? If not, Raven will need to decide what she wants to do.

Anvuss has his hands full with the floating brain, and is too far away to participate in the argument between Seat and Raven. He doesn't even look over, and merely hopes that whatever the dispute it will work out for the best.
What is this brain thing, anyway? He wonders. At least it seems to be harmed by my blows!
