D&D 5E Healing exhaustion - possible?

First Post
Hi guys,

we are planning a new adventurer group and I am thinking about to play a Barbarian.
The Berserker looks interesting but I am not sure about the kickback of the Frenzy. Everytime you
frenzy you get one level of exhaustion at the end of your rage. That seems to me a big disadvantage,
because as far as I can see, there is no way of magical cure to exhaustion.

In that case, the only healing of exhaustion is "time". Only a long rest restores 1 level of exhaustion.

Am I missing something (maybe a healing spell) or is this really the only cure to exhaustion?

Long rest is it, I think. There may be a spell somewhere (I’m looking…) but otherwise, you basically have one frenzy in between long rests really, to keep on top of it.

I don't think I've seen a magic item that helps with exhaustion, but there should be one:

Pillow of Deep Sleep
Wondrous item, uncommon.
This object appears a a soft and comfortable cushion. Anyone falling asleep with it will sleep soundly for eight hours, and cannot be woken. At the end of the sleep, you have completed a long rest, but have recovered two levels of exhaustion rather than one.

I can see it now the battlefield littered with bodies of dead barbarians, the fight has come down to two battle weary and bloody warriors fighting over the most prized magic pillow.
