Healing Spells for Sor/Wiz

Hey everyone.
i'm trying to give my sorcerer some healing spell options as at the moment our party is without a cleric. Here's what I've come up with so far.

I saw spontaneous healing from the complete divine, but was unsure about it. Maybe you can give me your opinion on it.
Let's assume I'm a 6th level sorcerer with a wisdom of 14 (+2), and the feats Domain Spontaneity and Spontaneous Healing.
Domain spontaneity states "Add the chosen domain's spells to your class list of arcane spells... You may learn these spells as normal for your class..."
Spontaneous Healing states "You can use your spellcasting ability to spontaneously case cure spells (form your class spell list) just as a cleric can. You may use this ability a total number of ties per day equal to your Wisdom modifier."

Does this mean that I can cast any cure spell from 0 to 3rd level twice? Or can I only cast a healing spell that I give up a spell slot for? Also, this seems to limit me to just 2 cure spells per day. Is that right?

Edit: I meant arcane disciple not domain spontaneity.

Not having the book with me, I probably shouldn't comment on your exact question, but wouldn't it be better to just take as many ranks as possible in UMD and get a wand or two? Are there no bards, druids, paladins, or rangers either?

I believe Spontaneous Healing is superfluous for you. Since sorcerers are spontaneous casters anyway, you don't have to bother. The "cost" you're paying is taking up your Spells Known slots (in addition to the Domain Spontaneity feat).

I believe Spontaneous Healing would let you convert slots to healing spells even if you don't choose them as Spells Known, twice per day.

I think you mean Arcane Disciple rather than Domain Spontaneity. The latter lets clerics spontaneously convert spells into domain spells while the former adds domain spells to an arcane caster's spell list.

You'll need to pick up a cure wounds for one of your spells known before you can take Spontaneous Healing since one of the prerequisites is "able to cast any cure wounds spell." Under Arcane Disciple you'll be able to cast that spell once a day. With Spontaneous Healing you can convert any spell into a healing spell of the appropriate level a twice a day. This allows you to cast up to three healing spells per day.

For example, if you decided to take cure light wounds as a known spell after taking Arcane Disciple, you can cast that once a day by using a first level slot. With Spontaneous Healing in play, you can also convert your third level slots into cure serious wounds twice a day despite not actually knowing the spell. Learning more cure wounds spells would let you cast those once a day in addition to the cure light wounds you took earlier and however many spells you can cast through Spontaneous Healing as determined by your Wisdom modifier.

Provided you have a sufficient Wisdom score, this is true.

That only works, if you are an outsider, tho. ;)

The BIG problem with Arcane Disciple for the sorcerer is, that you still have to learn the spells and then can only cast one per spell level per day. Not a very good option, really.

My sorceress currently uses Planar Binding to call an outsider to tend our wounded (no cleric either, tho we have a paladin and a bard and some wands and potions for emergencies).

Bye

Sam,

There's a spell in Hollowfaust I believe call Arcane Healing. It can help you but it's pretty High level. (6th I believe...)

Take Arcane Disciple with the Healing Domain, then you can use wands with the various Cure spells. Or invest a lot of skill points into UMD. (Your wisdom doesn't matter much for this use of the feat.)
