Heart of Artifice Temporary 2--Aethelus Alone

(ooc: can Aethelus classify the creature from his experiences? is it a homunculus, a construct (living of course), a replica of an actual living creature?)

"I had in mind a set of constructs that have abducted a small child. I am currently searching for that child when I arrived here. I had thought to try and create a similar creature as a model or statue to try and understand it. I had not known that I could actually create a living creature such as yourself."

(OOC: He's not sure exactly what it is--it's a fey-looking Clank, apparently. It shares some features with a homunculus, though. It's not a perfect living replica like Naugyrm and the other guards if that's what you mean, where the skin is like skin and not metal and it takes an incredibly high Spot check followed by a Knowledge check to even notice that they're constructs)

"Well, that explains it. Now I know why I always wanted to be a model when I grew up--and here I thought it was the negative self-image pushed on females by the unrealistic ideals in today's society," she(?) quips.

"I can't even tell if there is a negative self-image on females here, though back in Sharn, sure I could see that being the case. Anyways, I'd like to take a closer look to see if I can understand how your internal workings are functioning. I'll not take you apart." he says.

"Hey, for all I know there isn't one here. I'm formed partially from echoes of your consciousness, remember?"

"Sure thing, I serve at your pleasure, chief. If there's anything I can do to help make your analysis easier, let me know. Would you like me to undress?"

"Yeah, I think I'd feel kind of silly if my clothes couldn't come off," she laughs, as she doffs her simple shift and flies to perch on his hand, "You can do whatever you like, boss. Heck, I'm probably the only girl here who doesn't know how she even works, since I'm formed from you and you don't know. Even I am curious to find out."

"Warforged cannot remove their 'clothes'." Aethelus will continue his investigation into the inner workings of his creation, specifically looking for traces of the Thelanium and how the other metals interact with it.

"Hey, don't compare me to a Warforged, boss! You're a much better artificer than those jokers who made the creation forges. Some day, they'll all say those names in the context of antiquated designs and how they were overcome by the genius that is Aethelus d'Cannith...at least if you can get over the whole asking stupid questions thing. Don't you think, boss?"

*She appears to be seamless, but Aethelus is able to access her inner workings with precision tools by slicing himself an opening, causing her to yelp in pain. The other metals have blended and warped somehow to make a metallic sheeny membrane that is supremely flexible, with inner muscle-like workings to allow for precision control and precise intricate movements. Meanwhile, she seems to be powered by a flow of some sort of vital fluid throughout her body, likely containing thelanium in particulate or liquid form.*

"This is truely fascinating. Yes if I can figure out how to replicate your construction, then I will be as recognized as you say. Even Baron Merrix would have to bow to my superiority." he says in a moment of megalomania.

"Baron Merrix is nothing compared to Aethelus!" she agrees, "An intellectual peon. Just remember, next time they ask you how I was created, if you still don't know, just say something like 'That will be my secret' or 'Your puny mind could not comprehend my genius' instead of that vacant look and then asking me. You'll be set!"
