Aethelus heads straight for the ship then. Assuming that he can get onto the ship he greets the guards there asking to see the Leywytch Jadishtai.

*The guards nod at his approach.*

"The Leywytch Jadishtai has returned to her chambers. Aethelus d'Cannith, you are free to pass onto the ship."

*He heads over to Jade's chambers.*

"The Leywytch Jadishtai was deeply saddened by recent events. Let me ask if she is ready for visitors."

*The guard checks inside and then returns with a curt nod.*

"You may enter."

*Jade is slightly slumped in her chair, looking over some notes, but she looks up as Aethelus enters, expecting him thanks to the announcement.*

"Aethelus--thank the Holy One you are unharmed! When we lost contact with you, I feared the worst," Jade admits, concern in her voice.

"Thugs attacked me when I headed down an alley, luckily Lana and a kind resident helped me while I was knocked unconscious. I think they were trying to kidnap me. But what happened to you? I hear that you attacked the Baron's palace after it opened fire on you."

"Thugs were able to knock you unconscious? But you're a Spark...I see...it must have been an ambush with many of them. These two events are undoubtably related. You see, the terrorist mastermind has kidnapped our poor Baron ir'Spiras's daughter and blackmailed the Baron with her life. The scum forced the Baron to help him build a Doomsday Device and then to take action against me when I tried to recover the device. I didn't know that at the time, so I opened fire on the Baron's defenses, until he eventually surrendered. No lives were lost, but...I only hope the terrorist doesn't hurt that darling little girl because of this--that would be unbearable! They must have wanted you too because you're a Spark. Maybe they needed you to help with the Doomsday Device or a related project. Regardless, the Baron has said that they took the device away from here already--usually I trust him implicitly, but since they might have told him to lie for his daughter's sake, I had my scouts and sensors confirm this, and it is true. I think we shall have to search for it. Chances are they couldn't have gotten too far yet, but by the time we give chase, it may be too late. Thus, I'm sending our swiftest couriers to Esperal, Fantasia, and Brillia, while we will begin the search in the local area. Did you discover anything more? And who was it that saved you? They should be commended!"

"Honestly the rescue should probably be attributed most to Lana." he said summoning her from his cloak. "The woman who helped was named Liliara I believe." he pauses to ponder for a moment, "Did the Baron give you any information about the terrorist or the doomsday device?"

"I see. Well, thank you Lana, and I shall be sure to thank this Liliara if I can."

"As to the Doomsday Device, they only had the Baron construct a piece of it, and he could not divine the true final intention. That is why they may have been trying to kidnap you to complete a different piece. In any attempt, I talked to the Baron, and we decided that I would leave a proxy here to make the decisions so that the Baron need not go against their demands himself and thus his daughter is more likely to stay safe."
