"The Baron said that the terrorist wore a mask and a dark cloak, but that isn't very helpful, I'm afraid. The cloak had an odd symbol on it though, one he couldn't recognise."

*She describes a symbol that Aethelus, with his knowledge of architecture, recognises as that of the Mason's Guild of Sharn.*

Couldn't be Kharas could it? Why would he want to kidnap someone's daughter and get them to build a doomsday device, that doesnt make any sense.

"I know you mentioned that the Baron only made a piece of a Doomsday Device, but I'm wondering if he has described what he made to you? I'm wondering if I might be able to figure out what the terrorist wants to build."

"Alright, perhaps not that useful. I have no idea what you might be able to build with that. Might I assist you in the search of the local area. While I hesitate to say that I need protection, recent events would suggest that I should probably not wander alone again." replies Aethelus, though he wracks his brain to try and think of what the device might be for.

*Aethelus is unsure exactly for what the device portion might be used.*

"I would love to have your help, Aethelus. I'm also going to send out patrols to search for any obvious signs of terrorist activity in the general area, away from the city. It seems that the enemy may have evacuated from the city proper when they noticed our arrival."

"Quite so. I'll tell you what--how about I deputise you to investigate the terrorist accomplices that assaulted you in the alleyway? I would guess that you would be uniquely capable of identifying them, right? They must have escaped somewhere as well, and even if the mastermind has fled, the goons may still be in the city."
