Heart of the Iron God -- Advice?

Chaldfont

First Post
I just started running Heart of the Iron God (Dungeon #97) for my group last night. It's the one where the PCs have to stop a 185 foot tall colossus from destroying a village. The first session went great.

Has anyone run this? Any advice?

I ran it awhile back as an interlude between adventure path modules when my PC's were a bit under powered to go to the next one.

SPOILERS

I remember it being a fun session or two. They got in the foot OK, and were able to ascend. They were able to figure out what was going on and disable the control centre. I had the hang gliding people come up from behind while the fight was going on in the control room, which made things difficult for the PC's. They eventually escaped by hangliding out the trap door.

All in all I thought it was well written and fairly straight forward to DM. In this one, as in all modules, I was surprised by how well the party did in combat. I often read an encounter and think it will be tough, and the PC's handle it easily. It has plot puzzles (why is this thing here), game puzzles (how does it work) and an interesting premise (big mechanical man).
