Heliosail is a whimsical solarpunk adventure TTRPG about space pirates. The game was released this past June in digital form on DrivethruRPG and Itch.io. Citing inspirations from Treasure Planet (2002) and Mass Effect (2007-2012), Heliosail brings together the best elements of classic sci-fi and swashbuckling fun, with just a hint of cosmic horror in the background.
Fans can back the game on Gamefound starting this Tuesday, October 14th.
Rewards
In addition to books, the campaign is debuting with a brand new adventure themed for the Halloween season; Curse of the S.W.S. Serenity. This spooky four hour experience is a perfect one-shot or side quest to drop into your ongoing games, and will feature a detailed game map by the talented Zach Moeller. There will be four backer bundles to choose from, including a digital-only version for those who just want the new adventure. However, if you’re new to Heliosail, the Gamefound campaign will be featuring a “Starter Kit” bundle that will have everything you need to play. Not only will you be receiving the physical book, but also a set of 8-sided dice, a pack of character sheets that includes some pre-made characters to get you started, and two adventures to play through.
Some limited edition extras, such as this stunning art nouveau print, will also be available only during this campaign.
