Hellgate Keep - who's run it and....

The big reason the PC's are headed there is to chase down some leads regarding who is trying to kill them, disrupted the evil guys plans etc. They've got it in their pointy little heads that HGK is the way to go so that's where they're goin'.

So I'm looking for some filler, I have a couple good side quests involving a purple helm (previously discussed on another thread) which the players will be sent to look for at HGK by a "cleric of Torm". They're also headed there to recover the Roaring Armor of Amarindar to aid in the possible coming war effort against an orc horde, this one's for pay.

Any special enounters in rooms that aren't detailed in the module would be helpful.
I'm thinking about tying HGK with the Nameless Dungeon. I read somewhere that they were attached now.
What possible reason would House Dlardrageth have to be involved with the Arcane Brotherhood?
Anybody statted out Kaanyr Vhok? :)

If I ever run the realms, the first thing that's got to go is Hellgate Keep. Swallowed up by a volcano.

Make sure you're players get there before you do that. ;)

A bit counter productive on my side of the DM screen however.

Don't worry, I've got a mook filled, demon-butt stomping, Blows-UP-REAL-GOOD-AT-THE-END supersized Mc Donalds Meal of an adventure. With a lot of Whipping Cream with Hell Gate Keep being utterly swallowed by an infant Volcano ending. :D

I mean it was a normal city at one point. Then got taken over by badness. Got destroyed, and is now covered by forest. Why blow it up more?

It makes for great plots. And, just like Ed Greenwood writing about Elminster and his relationship with Mystra . . .

Oh, I thought it was somthing bigger than that. Like there was some sort of aspect of the realms that you did not like that came out of hellgate keep. Like Fey'ri or somthing.
