Don't members of army usually travel for free or are transported by army vehicles? At least I think they used to.

Aren't US troops high-professionals? I work abroad and pay for my plane flights to go back home and see my mom, my company doesn't help beyond my wage.

Aren't USA people already paying taxes to fully support whatever expenses needed in the army's job? If the army doesn't have enough funds, let's raise those taxes, a website asking for a petition doesn't sound something to trust completely.

Oh yeah. Calling them "Heroes" is a political statement as sure as more negative terms would be, that I'd not want to repeat here.
It's much more perfidious, thats all.

Infact, I`d go as far as to say that propaganda and hype is more political than what ever subversive criticism one might come up with.
