help building a 25th level cleric and sorcerer

My players have decided that since there are only 2 of them they would search out potential additions to thier party. I think it's prolly a good idea since the party consists of a rogue and a weretiger/fighter. I've already decided that there are only 3 people of their level that are able and/or willing to join up 1 will be a cleric of kossuth and 1 will be a sorcerer the other is a wizard but i've already got ideas for him. Both will be the equivalent of 25th level. unfortunately that's where my ideas stop.

What prestige classes or races are worth taking for a fire obsessed cleric and a sorcerer? any ideas? honestly having sooo many choices has paralized me, and i don't want to go with something that just "looks good" but that dies in the first epic combat.

Elemental Archons from Faith and Pantheons (I think) are a pretty good Divine type Element focused PrC.

Alienist is normally regarded as a pretty powerful PrC. Alternatively, look at the most recent Epic Insights at the Master Arcane Artisan. Not much of an advernturing class, but combined with the Wand or Staff feats in the same article, he can be making Wands of Lightning Bolt for close to free, and firing it two or three times, a ROUND.

Unless someone has Evasion thats STILL 15d6, with a possible top of 30d6. Not to bad.

I just read that epic insights that does sound nice, however i'll only have 2 or 3 epic feats to play with and since i'm thinking of specilizing in metamagic i'll probably use those feats for efficient metamagic and a 10th or 11th level spell slot.

Are there any prestige classes that would help with my metamagic focus? i've notice incantrix gets some nice stuff any others?

5th level Sorcerer
10th Level Incatatrix
5th level Archmage
5th level Arcane Lord

Yes it can be done and yes it would be extremely powerful and then some.

Or maybe:

Sorcerer6 (PHB)
Fighter4 (PHB)
Elemental Savant10 (T&B)
Elemental Savant (Elemental)5 (Epic Insight)

Sorcerers aren't really that cool when they go epic unless you go Multispell + Automatic Quicken Spell...

Just my 2 cents.

For the sorcerer, considering it is an NPC, I would build him as an elemental savant. Make him a true force of nature, which makes him easier to play (more blasting spells than other stuff).
I suggest Sorcerer6/Elemental Savant19. Give him Education (from FRCS) to fulfill the Knowledge (the planes) requirement. Since the cleric is already into fire, consider making the sorcerer an air savant.
Get him Energy Substitution/Admixture electricity and/or sonic (sonic being the thunderclap), and some metamagic feats. For spells, get one evocation-type spell each level, but remember to keep save variety in offense (ie, not just reflex saves). Make the rest of the spells useful protections/utility spells, both for the NPC and the party.
Mind Blank is great with the sorcerer's slots/day (ie, cover the whole party), but immunity to scrying may not be something you want them to have. Energy Immunity is essencial, since he takes double damage from acid (and also helps the party immensely). A powerful Wall spell is a must-have, as are mobility spells (Dimension Door, Teleports)
In terms of varying offense, I think Disintegrate and Horrid Wilting actually fit quite well for Fort saves (Disintegrate can look like a ray of electricity, and Horrid Wilting evaporates water--both fit air theme IMHO).

Elemental Archon seems good for the cleric, but again I'm make him simple to play. With the party being geared more towards combat (as opposed to spells), I'd make him more of a spellcaster than a melee cleric. Just select a good standard spell list and he's set.

Note that the Sorceror could be, at best, a Sorceror 10/Elemental Savant 15.

You cannot begin taking 10+ levels in a PrC until your Character level is 20.

wow that incantrix, archmage, arcane lord combo sounds amazing.. i think i'll give it a try although i've been itching to see an elemental savant played. i finally decided just to go with half-dragon cleric/hierophant for the cleric.

thanks for all the great ideas!

I am sitting at 18th level currently and while my savers are not that great ( I try and not min/max all that much ) but I am ablt to cast 4 ninth level spells. For my first two 9th level spells I cast Energy Admixture Metero Swarms (doing Acid/Sonic Damage) for a total of 24d6 points of damage and it is still a 9th level spell. Now for someone they do not get a save depending on where I place the initial blast (as per the spell) so basically write off one person or at least they are definately looking for some healing. Also with the Spell Focus, Greater Spell Focus, and the High Arcana of the Archmage my 9th level Evocation spells have a reflex save of 41. Then there is the burst damage from the meteor swarm which damages everyone else in the area, except for any of my party as with the other High Arcana ability of being able to desigante any 5' sqaure in the balst radius to not get touched my front line fighters are not touched.

Another GREAT abilty my group found out was this: Chained Greater Magic Weapon, so for one spell I can add a +5 enhancement to 18 weapons. Needless to say this just rocks since this also will last for 18 rounds and this only takes a 5th level slot ( I think ) since all my metamagic feats costs one less. Another thing is that being able to Maximize any spell that is level 6 or lower just rocks as well sicne my Sorcerer took Firebrand
( MoF ) as his first 5th level spell. So what I do is I cast my Energy Substitution: Acid Maximized Firebrand and 18 enemies within 400' of me take 90 points of acid damage with a reflex save of like 37 or 38 ( can't remember ). Also even without the Spell Penetration and Greater Spell Penetration feats I have a +3 bonus to getting through SR ( +5 if they are outsiders ).

So yea I REALLY like this character and he does a full buck load of damage, UNTIL something gets into melee range of him. Surprisingly this happens a lot and his AC is only 25 and he only has about 109 HP. Also my Fort save is like 15 and relfex save is 16 so I do get knocked unconscious all the time and I die a lot so I don't think I am overbalanced all that much.

Anyway, if you ever want to take a look at my character just go to this web site www.thegamehub.com and take a look at a character named "Bran Sar Dragonsbane" and you can see all of his stats and spells and what not.

He really is a fun character to play and hopefully you will enjoy the build as well if you choose this route.
