help creating two important npcs for my campaign

First Post
the first is a hexblade(13) i don't intend to change his class i just want help with his equipment. armor/weapon/items and magical abilities of his armor and weapon.
an other thing with character is that he is a child of a god (although he does not know it yet) and he is one of the main villains in the game. i was thinking of giving him 3 or 4 divine ranks but then i saw the rediculus dr, energy resistances and sr he gets and i don't want that.
i then saw the god-blooded template but i didn't like it much. can anyone think of something instead of those two options?

now about the second character he is a pirate captain who traveled all around the world. i was thinking rogue(3)/swashbuckler(8) but i can replace some swashbuckler classes with a prc if you have something to recommend. again i want directions on equipment.

i don't want optimized builds. the most important for me is to find equipment appropriate for their backgrounds.

Rogue/swashbuckler is a fairly decent combination these days because of the daring outlaw from complete scoundrel. There should be a few pirate-themed prcs in stormwrack (A book I don't own), but one of them is the scarlet corsair.

So maybe rogue3/swashbuckler3/corsairX (as many as you need?).

I am not a fan of hexblade, not least because it is fairly weak. I think there is an unofficial hexblade fix released by the author himself but I can't seem to locate it.

For abilities, you may want to focus on his (possibly) high cha. Here is a hexblade guide I managed to dig up. Hope it is of help. :)

It would slightly stunt his Curse DC but a couple of lvls of Favored Soul could represent his "god bloodedness" and would still hinge his abilities on a high CHA score.

The extra spells and free weapon focus should be a nice boost too.

Swash3/Wiz3/BladesingerX makes a fun Pirate if your not looking to be overly optimized. The Wizard lvls give him some spells to throw around for utility and give the feeling that he has been around the block and learned a few tricks. Go to town on INT and DEX and this guys should be good to go.
