Help!

It's game night tonight, I was wondering if someone could help me stat out a Dracotaur (MM III) Dragon Shaman [Blue] (PHB II).

He is going to be the leader of a small group of Dracotaur Barbarian raiders. He will be an 8th level Dragon Shaman with a Blue Dragon totem. Feats only from the core books + PHB II please.

I'm not that great at statting out monsters with levels - any help will be very much appreciated! :)

I would swap out Endurance and Die Hard for Shield Specialization and Shield Ward. Give him even a +1 Heavy Shield, and that's +4 to both regular and touch AC. Dragon Shamans aren't great at dealing damage, but they can tank pretty well.

Special:
spit Fire
6 Auras (+2)
Energy Shield
Power
Resistance
Senses
Toughness
Vigour

The auras have an annoyingly short range, so remember to build battle tactics around keeping the raiders clustered close by him.

Thanks for the replies...

Well, this encounter played out last night - the party vs. the Dragon Shaman and his flunkies. The party ended up trouncing them (thanks to the Beguilers Solid Fog - I still can't help but think that spell is a little cheesy with no save and no SR), but a critical from one for the Barbarians ended up slicing the Elf Transmuter into two pieces.

Note: because of the Beguiler, and to a lesser extent the Cleric and Transmuter, I gave him feats to help against mind effects...

I am not 100% sure without my book but didn't Shield Ward have a high BAB requirement?
Nope. You just need Shield Specialization, which only has the prerequisite of proficiency with shields, so you could get that and Shield Ward at 1st lvl if human and/or fighter.
