Help! Dry Erase Marker stains on a battlemat!

Warning! These things are full of fermaldehyde and, at the very least, you should be wearing gloves when you use 'em. And if you've got kids around, pitch 'em in the trash.

Not to start a he-said/she-said but I've heard this before and am of the opinion that this is a mistaken belief, due to part of a name of an ingredient, that has taken on the life of an internet urban legend.

I just figure, in the interest of full disclosure, that I couldn't let the comment stand, well-meaning as it had been. This way people have both sides and can make an informed decision.

Drop everything and panic. Scream and panic. Run, and scream, and throw stuff and panic.

And then saturate the battle mat in gasoline (outside please) and then (from a safe distance) set it on fire. Tear off your t-shirt and do a crazy dance as you sacrifice it.

Then buy a new one.

It's a lot more fun than just removing the stain.

Man, if I do that, what will do on Saturday night? Now I have to come up with a new schtick...

Thanks for the ideas, guys! I'll be trying them out over the next couple days and I'll let you know what works and what causes me to pass out from invisible chemical elementals..
