Help feat out a Swordsage

Anger,

Well if you don't want to dip that's fine, but honestly more skills based/good Reflex saves are extremely helpful for a Swordsage. Whatever you choose is fine, but if you don't like Shadow Sun Ninja, I guess there's no accounting for tastes. But that's me.

EWP- Spiked Chain. This gives you reach. It is also a Shadowhand Weapon, meaning it works with your Shadowblade Feat.

Combat Reflexes- Lets you get optimum use of said chain to do lots of AOOs.

Power Attack- Mostly taking it so you can get....

Cleave- Even MORE attacks this round! Even on an AOO! Don't get great-cleave though. That one's for suckers-- it rarely comes up enough to waist a precious feat slot on. However, adding Mighty Cleaving to your Spiked Chain would be worth it.

Improved Trip- Free attack if you trip an opponent, and chain can be used to trip, AND a lot of Setting Sun maneuvers utilize trips (and give bonuses)

Items to use-
Potions of Enlarge Person (or have someone cast it). Extends reach of the chain to 20', giving you LOTS of potential AOOs.

My Monk 15/Swordsage1 had this feat combo, and got 5 attacks/round on his turn, and 4/round when it was not his turn from getting so many AOOs and the occasional cleave.

I am not a fan of the Shadow Sun ninja PrC.

No love for the Shadow Sun Ninja? :(

It was by far my favorite in the Book, and I did get to level 1 in it by campaign's end. Their 1st level ability is so friggin' good (Make a touch attack that does negative energy damage). I was level 17 with a monk's belt, and enlarged, with 18 WIS. So I did 4d8+4 (ave 22) negative energy damage with a touch. May not seem like such a big deal, but when you consider there were a lot of enemies with UNHITABLE ACs that we were facing, it really made a difference. The ability to heal yourself or a nearby ally immediately after that (maybe even as a swift action, allowing you to unload a full attack on your opponent) was a nice touch too. Unfortunately, the end of our campaign was on the Plane of Negative Energy, where Positive Energy of any kind cannot be channeled. This was good and bad for me-- it made it so that I could use the negative energy touch EVERY round... but could never use the healing aspect of it...

Epoch,

Not all of us are Naruto fans it seems. ;) And let's face it, Shadow Sun Ninja is darn close to being a Naruto type ninja of sorts. ;)

I have looked at beshadowed blade (both versions). They were too stand and fight for what I see this character being. Definetly good builds though, but some xp penalties.
