Help make Disarm/sunder char

When it comes to Sundering, think ahead to things that will be useful...

specifically, in a few levels you'll want a magic weapon that deals sonic energy damage (full damage to items), preferably of the bursting variety. The ability to craft items to augment your own abilities - and cast spells to do so - is also quite attractive.

You'll want to leverage your high attributes. If you can only pick two attributes to have high, go with Int and Dex - leverage your Dex with Weapon Expertise/Weapon Finnesse and pick up a ton of skill points. Make sure to grab Tumble as a skill as well and stay lightly armored.

Since Sunder/Disarm is an opposed attack roll, you want the highest BAB you can "afford." Avoid Sunder for now, as it requires another "high" stat - Str.

What race/class combo does all this for you?

Human Bard with a couple of strategically placed levels of fighter.

Suggested Advancement:
Bard1
Bard2
Bard3
Bard4
Bard4/Ftr1 (bonus Feat)
Bard5/Ftr1 (you take it here to be a 5th-level spellcaster when you get your 6th-level Feat since you want Craft Magic Arms & Armor)
Bard 5/Ftr2 (bonus Feat)

Suggested Feat selection:
1st level: Expertise (for defensive fighting and to qualify for Imp. Disarm)
Human: Improved Disarm (for obvious reasons)
3rd level: Craft Wondrous Item (for attribute-boosting items)
5th level (Ftr 1 bonus Feat) Weapon Finnesse (leverage your Dex)
6th level: Craft Magic Arms and Armor (for a magic rapier)
7th level (Ftr 2 Bonus Feat) Weapon Focus (rapier)

At 4th level, a bard has a BAB of +3 (one worse than a fighter). He has access (assuming his Cha is high enough) to 2nd-level spells... like Bull's Strength and Cat's Grace and such. If you plan ahead and pick up Craft Wondrous Item at 3rd level, that means you can make yourself a pair of Boots of Dexterity or Gauntlets of Ogre Power/Girdle of Giant Strength. Even better, if you can afford it, create a Girdle of Dextrous Strength (combines a bonus to Dex and Str into one item). Enchant a rapier to be a +1 keen sonic burst weapon at 6th level when you pick up Craft Arms & Armor.

Hope that helps.

To summarize:
Human

Bard1 - BAB +0 Saves +0/+2/+2 - Bardic Music, Bardic Knowledge, FEATS: Expertise, Imp. Disarm

Bard2 - BAB +1 Saves +0/+3/+3 - gets 1st-level spells

Bard3 - BAB +2 Saves +1/+3/+3 - FEAT: Craft Wondrous Item

Bard4 - BAB +3 Saves +1/+4/+4 - gets 2nd-level spells, should grab two attribute-boosting spells and craft an attribute-boosting item or two

Bard4/Ftr1 - BAB +4 Saves +3/+4/+4 - BONUS FIGHTER FEAT: Weapon Finesse

Bard5/Ftr1 - BAB +4 Saves +3/+4/+4 - FEAT: Craft Magic Arms & Armor, should craft +1 keen sonic burst rapier

Bard 5/Ftr2 - BAB +5 Saves +4/+4/+4 - BONUS FIGHTER FEAT: Weapon Focus (rapier)

Bard6/Ftr2 - BAB +6 Saves +5/+5/+5 - Up the rapier to +2 keen sonic burst

Bard6/Ftr3 - BAB +7 Saves +5/+6/+6 - FEAT: Your choice... if you want a more fightery-type go with Dodge or perhaps Sunder (if Str high enough) but if you want a more magicky-type, grab Craft Wand

Bard6/Ftr4 - BAB +8 Saves +6/+6/+6 - BONUS FIGHTER FEAT: Weapon Specialization (rapier)

Then take levels in Bard the rest of the way out.

(Then again, I'm sure I'll get accused of "Bard Favoritism" LOL)

I have an idea that doesn't seem to be covered much: a barbarian with a good disarm weapon such as a Ranseur. When he's not mad he will try to disarm people (and subdue if he can't), and when enraged he will try to sunder their weapons (and kill if he can't). While he still has that penalty for subdual combat, high Strength with a 2-handed weapon will deal lots of said damage if it connects!

Pick Power Attack and Sunder at level 1. If you have access to splatbook feats, Improved Sunder and Destructive Rage are good choices for future feats. With all these, a level 6 Barbarian with 18 Strength would be dishing out (2d4+7)x3 (assuming a non-magical weapon) to objects while enraged! Yeah, you'll be good at handling doors too!

If you have access to the Psi Handbook Great Sunder is pretty nice. Also you'll definitely want to get your hands on a Shatterspike from Sword and Fist since it is a Sundering weapon. Finally I think in the Netbook of Feats, there is a feat called Cleave Asunder ,which allows you to make a cleave into the wielder of a weapon you just sundered.
