Help me find a good Christmas present for my dad.

He even has a football autographed by Ty Detmer; about 12-13 years ago, my dad and I actually met Mr. Detmer while pheasent hunting because his favorite hunting spot was a ranch owned by my dad's lifelong buddy.



I've thought about this as well, but I'd have to be careful because I've heard that some of those "Name a star after yourself" companies are pretty much scams.

You know Mr. Detmer is the 3rd string QB for my Atlanta Falcons. I'd like to see him play. Vick gets hurt enough one day he might get that chance.


I have not researched the star registry companies. I guess they could be scams. I guess I shouldn't suggest buying a lot on the moon. I have a nice place on the shore of The Sea of Tranquility.

Okay, after reviewing all of my options, I'll probably end up getting him a new cordless soldering iron from thinkgeek.com, as his current soldering iron is about 20 years old and has a very short cord. Please keep the suggestions coming, however; my dad's birthday is on January 15, so I'll be looking for a birthday present for him soon.
