Help me get caffinated!

Note that people generally become tolerant of caffeine very quickly, so that if you take it regularly, it can have much reduced effect.

Also note that while it is a relatively benign substance, it can create a dependency. Man, those withdrawal headaches HURT!

No kidding. I can go about 24 hours, and then it hits me hard. Headaches, nausea, etc., for about 6 hours.

yeah, I'm beginning to think that the increased frequency of my headaches is bounce back from the excedrin I take to help them in the first place. So if the caffeine is all that's helping half of them, why not just add that without the extra acetimeniphen....

Not unless you're taking a lot of Excedrin, for a long time. Withdrawl symptoms are a result of a form of chemical dependency - you don't develop that without a prolonged period of high intake. A couple of Excedrin for a headache, even daily, should not normally produce withdrawl symptoms.

I have brought back highly rated Kona coffee beans from Hawaii for friends... and had to wrap up the already sealed bags against the residual smell - I'm pretty sure I just don't like coffee. ;)

Something else to try is "poor man's mocha"... Take a packet of your favorite instant hot cocoa mix, and mix it up with a mug full of hot coffee instead of hot water or hot milk.

Most teas seem to have more of an aftertaste than a taste to me, though my opinion on that may have changed since I started drinking less strong/sugary drinks. I used to like herbal teas when added to lemonade - don't know if that would work with green or black teas....

Yes, it does. I do it all the time. One part iced tea (green, black or brown) mixed with one part lemonade or limeade. If fact, you can skip the mixing part right over, and dump a bunch of tea bags into a jug full of lemonade or limeade, and let it brew like iced tea.

You can choose from a wide variety of caffeinated candies at ThinkGeek.com.

Most have a fairly low dose of caffeine, which can be either good or bad depending on your viewpoint. ;)

My caffeine source of choice is generally diet soda.

It depends on the person. I drink maybe 3-4 sodas a day (38 mg*4 < 2 Excedrin), and I can definitely feel the effects (headaches) when I go a day without. Then again, I have been drinking sodas for a prolonged period.

As for the original topic, there are various types of Diet Sodas. If you don't like the taste of Diet Coke/Pepsi, you might try the Splenda versions (Pepsi One and Diet Coke w/ Splenda).
But if you can't stand the taste, the mints are a reasonable way to go.

Personally, caffeine doesn't really do it for me any more. I need to use iTunes on repeat to focus. :-)

QFT.... :(

Same here. I have been drinking coffee since I was something like 10.

Chocolate is a caffeine source, and it comes in a wonderful variety of forms.

A Starbucks bottled frappuchino drink, available in convenience stores all over, has as much caffeine as a cup of coffee, and generally doesn't taste that much like coffee.
