Not intrinsically scary, but if you saw the time when Julia Childs and Emeril were on the same show, she had no problem putting him in his place with a single word/look. Repeatedly.

...which was good. He needed that.

Julia Child was 6' 2", and worked in intelligence for the OSS during WWII. She helped invent shark repellant. (All true, you can look it up.)

She could hold her own, for sure.
