Help me name a BBEG.

I'd thought of using 'Lord of Briars', actually, but its so close to the Briar King (from the Greg Keyes novel of the same name) that I'd prefer to avoid it. I don't think any of my players are familiar with his work, but it would bother me... which is probably part of the reason I spend so much time worrying about naming things. Too much pressure to be original.

You should know there are no original ideas anymore...

Seriously though, when I'm in a slump for names I just start pulling books of the shelves, flipping through random pages and eventually I'll stumble across some idea that works. Some other ideas - maybe something with Graven or Ashen in the name... The Ashen sounds kinda neat.

'The Briar's Embrace', though: that I may have to use for one of his Hunters. Its definitely too cool not to include somewhere.

Others of his kind were referred to by distinguishing characteristics, such as Redthorn (named for the odd looking sword he used), and Nettlecloak. I’m looking for something a little more menacing for this fellow, though. In his natural form he appears as a tall, gaunt, corpse-like humanoid with flowing white hair and wrinkled, age-spotted skin which is always covered in fresh blood. He is associated with death, ill fortune, lycanthropy, winter, and the red moon (there being two moons in the sky above this world).
