Help me! RPG Now needs a Credit Card for payment - and I don't own one!

Okay, guys, I have a problem: I have just shy of 40 bucks of product in my shopping cart for the sale from RPG Now, and they are requesting a credit card number for payment. There's the rub - I don't have a credit card! I signed up with Paypal using a debit card, and thought no more of it.

Am I at a dead end? Is there *any* way to get around this? I'd really appreciate help in this, since a) I get to support EN World, and b) I get a ton of cool stuff for bargain prices, which is great for me.

The message I am getting is this:

You must add a credit card to complete this purchase, possibly because the seller does not accept eChecks. Some payments, like instant and immediate payments, require a credit card.

I am completely unsure of what to do here... :\

I paid for my purchases via Paypal, but that draws directly from my bank account, not my Visa card.

I'm not sure if that's very helpful, but I thought I'd add it to the conversation anyway, to illustrate the fact that RPGNow does accept methods other than credit card, I guess.

I hope it works out for you Ny, whichever way. If you don't have a debit card (e.g., Visa) I strongly recommend getting one anyway. There's no risk of ending up with a debt of any kind that way (which is why I prefer them on principle), but you can still use it as if it's a 'normal' credit card.


edit --- oh wait, you *have* a debit card? Now I'm confused. Sorry if I'm not making much sense then.

99% of all debit cards can function as credit cards. In this case your card number is the long (16 or so digits) number printed on the front of the card.

Nope, that doesn't work either. It's asking for card type, and there's no debit option. It's asking for a card verification number, and I dont have one. It's askingn for an expiration date, and as far as I know, I don't have one

Its because your Canadian.

In the US our debit cards for our checking/savings account have a VISA or MasterCard Logo and can be used just like those credit cards, it just draws straight off our checking account balance.

Since You don't have an expiration date, etc... your card doesn't work like a credit card at all.

See if you can send the money, and list of pdf's you want, to my Paypal, which is

I'm a verified user, etc.... and I have bought from RPGNow many times.

The only question I have, and I don't know the answer since I haven't bought from them in a few weeks, is there an option where I can buy for a friend? IE buy it, but set it up so your the one who downloads?

I'm pretty sure they are who I did it with a year ago, but I may have also had to buy the pdf for myself, but I don't think so.

Anyways, if I can buy for a friend (you) and your willing to trust me, I'll help you out that way. As long as your a verified Paypal user there should be no problem.
