The sword's called Wolfang, so maybe it could have some other powers that have something to do with Wolves? I don't know, still fishing for ideas.

Well, maybe the sword could allow the weilder to summon a dire wolf mount. It could last like a paladin's summoned mount (hour per level per day). The dire wolf it summons might have a quirk, like it charges the nearest orc once a battle starts. Or, better yet, it charges the leader of the orcs (i.e., the biggest, strongest, baddest looking orc in the group). If no orc appears to be the leader, the wolf lets the rider decide whom to attack. The sword could even confer the Mounted Combat feat, but only when (1) using the sword and (2) riding the summoned dire wolf companion.
