Help needed with Encounters for a 9th level party (Eberron, but anything goes)

Just an odd campaign note, to give you all a bit more flavor.

One of the characters is a warforged artifacer, who can only remember about 2 weeks before he joins the group. He thinks he's defective, but he's just ... well... different. If he hadn't retired, I'd have had plans for him, but I still may use him anyway.

They've been doing research for a Professor at Morgrave, who lead them to an old underground lab where there were warforged parts, and a few other things. The lab had been sealed under a cryptic lock, down a magical set of stairs in an extradamentional space.

Once they dated it (around 1,000 years ago, give or take 100), they went to look one of the more important raw materials they found in the one book that was still in good shape. Behind several "tests", there was a dragon who'd been watching things for the past 30+ years, and passed on a message and a map. (There's a lot to that part, but the players don't know that either).

The map led them to Valen's Isle (Which mysteriously is mislabled on several Arenal maps ;)), after being attacked by a forged squid. The had warforged birds, and 1000 year old warforged titans (the older ones), where the met Valen (And his forged butler Brews), who apparently pioneared living construct research over 1000 years before, but had been forced to wipe them out with many of the other elves when they all turned on the elves. They then did what they could to wipe them from history, but the Master of Weapons escaped.

Now they're going after the Master of Weapons, aka the Lord of Blades, and are fairly well equiped to do so.

So, with that build up, I need 2-3 good adventures in the Mournlands, with the culmination of a battle against the Lord of Blades.

And obviously, this isn't pure Eberron cannon, but it's been fun.

Who are settled against the PCs?

(Behind... there must be someone behind the seamingly random complications; Also, I'm a non-initiated, so Lord of Blades sounds to me like a warforged weaponmaster wielding to bastard swords with Overzised Two Weapon Fighting, who is in his way to build an army or similar, and by the time being is in those mountains in his stronghold... :p i.e. not the slightest idea)

Well, I figured the Mournlands are likely used as a shroud to create the army of 'forged, but this time he hasn't been able to turn all the 'forged agains the other humanoids (Something is inherantly different in the creation this time around).

I've been using a little wheel of time cliche in that this seems to be a cycle, hinting that even Valen may not be the true origonator of the 'Forged, though there has been no evidence to the contrary (That'd be so long ago, and somewhere else, so perhaps in another campaign).

Not all the encounters need to be directly related though, as there are plenty of random dangers here as well.
