D&D 5E Help picking Cleric domain: war vs life

If used on a PC with 0 HP, Healing Word is the model of efficiency. Doesn't take up your whole turn to cast, gives someone a Move/Action/Bonus Action for just your Bonus Action. Does not get much more efficient than this. Also, efficiency measured on what scale? Number of encounters you can clear on a long rest? Least amount of spells cast? Number of hit points healed per day? The number of HP healed per day is the same for everyone, full health at the end of a long rest, and having any spells left when you do long rest is also inefficient.

Unless the DM hits you when you are down it takes 3 rounds minimum to die. Healing word heals 2 less hit points than cure but you probably have time to finish the fight and then heal up the party out of combat.

We do use healing word but its more for emergencies. We have a thief with the healing feat for bonus actionin combat healing or the life cleric may cast mass healing word, otherwise its out of combat healing for us- prayer of healing or whatever.

The healing feat 1hp stabilise thing is funny to. PC gets knocked over, gets put back to one hit point, unleashes may or may not go down again, gets restored to 1 hit point wash rinse repeat. Unless the DM hits you when you are down.
