Help playing a one-armed character

As I posted recently, my character just lost his/it's/her (long story...) left arm.

What I'm looking for now is advice on his to play this.

I've tried searching the Dragon Archive for articals that would help, but no to no avail.

Things I'm looking for:

What can I no longer do?
What can I still do but with considerably more difficulty?
What would I have to change? Way armour attaches to use less complicated buckles? Etc?

Any rules (for the DM) about how to deal with the loss of an arm statisticly... dex penalties, reflex save penalties (IE, couldn't catch myself falling near as well), etc.

And anything else you care to contribute!

*edit*

For the record, my character is (at least, thankfully) right-handed, so didn't loose her "good" arm.

Think of all the times your around the housae moving things around, and you think "Man, I could really use a third hand." Now, you're down to one. I broke my left hand many years ago and while no exactly the same, after a few days I did get used to doing most things with only one hand. Things like dressing and tiening shows were tough, so I can't imagine how trying to put on armor must be.

My problem is I can't do it long enough to really tell...

I did sort of try this, I kept my left hand firmly grasping my belt for a while and tried to do some basic things, but I can't tell with most of them if they are impossible, or I would get used to it, or what.

Did figure out I could climb a ladder (with difficulty), but...

Rent the first couple of seasons of Twin Peaks or The Fugitive :-)

I knew a guy with one working arm. He claimed one of the things that's a big pain in the butt is tying your shoes. You wouldn't think of that really, but give it a shot.

Think about balance issues too. Holding a sword in your right hand will likely throw you off balance more than before, as you don't have anything to steady yourself. This is something we tend to do automatically when we are off balance, so losing that ability might require some getting used to.
