Help price: Cleric's Belt

Belt, Cleric's
Command word Activated. Allows Cleric's 10 consecutive rounds of Divine Power as if cast by the wearer.

Caster Level: 12th; Prerequisites: Craft Wonders Item, divine power, creator must be a cleric; Market Price: ?; Weight: 1 lb.

Strictly speaking I think Market Price is 10080 (4*10*1800)/5-30%. It seems like it should be cheaper than that though. A monks belt is 9k and that gives a monk 10 rounds of haste. Boots of speed are 8k and that gives anyone 10 rounds a day nonconsecutive.
I chose Caster Level 12 since that's what 2 of the 3 belts are.

Wondrous items pricing by formula is only a guide. It needs to be adjusted by looking at similar items.

Also, this CAN be created at 7th level, making it's cost:

((4*7*1800)/5).3 = 3360

So you could adjust it's price/caster level as seems right wihout fear of creating an item, that is oddly priced.

Seems strange you say everything except the duration is based on the current wearer's level; especailly considering that duration is the only stat that is affected by level in the spell description. Really what this belt does is "Allow the Cleric to invoke Divine Power once per day as if she were a 10th level caster."

I want the item to increase in usefullness as the character level increases. The other boots and similar items have 10 rnds of duration and I figured making them consecutive like Monks belt and using 10th level instead of 7th for casting would make the price reasonable. 10k still seems a little high to me when compared to other items especially the Monks Belt which gives 3 feats plus haste.

That's a problem. There are no Core Magic Items that I know of who's abilities increase as the Character increases. :( [Only NPC's do this, mabey you should make one of those] :p

Math Check: Level 4 Spell * Cast at 10th Level * 1800 Command Use Item = 72,000 gp / 5 for use of only 1 time per day = 14,400 gp. Cost to the Creator 14.4 days, 7200gp, 576xp.

When the cleric goes up a level, he spends 1.4 days 720gp and 58xp to upgrade his Magic Item to Level 11.

Theres no good way to create a flexible magic item that rises in ability as the Owner advances. they will either be too expensive for the abilities granted or too cheap. example 1st level cleric, or 20th level cleric.

Sorry.

No problem, dude. I know how to do that...

...take a level in a class that gets Divine Power. :D
