if anyone bids over cover-price for any of these books, i'm going to laugh. really, really hard-like.

I like this.. the guy is trying to get some money for a cat and somebody has to be an A** about it... really sick dude... not cool... Hope everything goes well with the cat man...

Bah. I'm still paying off hospital bills from three years ago - anyone want to buy my 3e books from me for twice cover?

It just amazes me that a game designer - a minor celebrity in these circles - would do such a thing. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against a man trying to help his pet (i have a pet myself), but doing it in this fashion rubs me the wrong way. He wants to auction off his stuff, fine. Saying "Hey, I'm Sean Reynolds, so buy this stuff off of me for more than it's worth because I'm Sean Reynolds" bugs me.

Guess that makes me "an A**." *shrug* I can live with that.

Way to help your fellow man..

Wow, I can't believe how thickheaded some people on this thread are. Sean isn't charging more than cover price of these books.. Its a bloody auction! He will get what the market will bear. If people are willing to pay more than cover price, its because they either want to help out a man and his cat, or they want an autographed book or a custom feat.

And the comments about Sean getting a day job are just ludicrous. Being a game designer for a major company like WotC pays quite poorly, in fact. Doing freelance stuff is boom and bust, which is why Sean has a day job working for Black Isle.

Its amazing to me that people here are mocking the altruism shown by our own community members.

On a more positive note, good luck with the auction, Sean. And I hope your cat gets well soon!
