The only thing that will really make a huge difference is when you get your second attack. As others have said getting your second attack should be your priority. The barbarian abilities are excellent and while you might not get to a 3rd attack. the increased number of rages is an often understemated increase in overall power. Unless you are truly min/maxing you'll bee excellent in any way you choose to go once you get that second attack. that is the key offensive ability of melee characters.
