Help with a Binder Build

RUMBLETiGER

Adventurer
So, I'm still experimenting with builds suggested from This Thread. In a nutshell, starting a new campaign that takes place on a Negative Energy demiplane, contains a variety of skill challenges, and will have many Undead and Construct enemies.

As I put together possible PC's, I've gotten around to taking a serious look at the Binder from Tome of Magic for the first time.

Whew, is it a tad bit overwhelming! I'm putting together a level 15 character, so there is the ability to have 3 Vestiges bound at the same time. How does one choose? Acererak appears a given for the environment and enemies, Karsus + Wands and Staves sounds versatile. But I really don't know what is most effective.

Is there an online handbook resource that recommends Vestige combos for their effectiveness in accomplishing different tasks?

Can anyone recommend Binder builds they particularly like?

I'll need to:

-Kill Undead and Constructs.
-Accomplish a number of skilled tasks.
-Not die.
-Ideally, look cool doing the above three.

Are you looking for some sort of Binder Handbook?
Read it, started to get interested with the Vestige breakdown review of how good each vestige is, and became disheartened when it stopped at the level 2 ones.

It also didn't provide much details on the synergy of vestiges in combination.

EDIT: Oh! This One has a combos section, more of what I was looking for.

Tenebrous to me is one of the better vestiges as it grants some great all around abilities. One, it gives turn and rebuke undead with a cooldown timer of 5 rounds making some of the devotion feats in the Complete Champion(Earth Devotion almost at will difficult terrain and/or caltrops) as well as divine feats incredibly viable options(plus there is the obvious play with small undead:lol: since you are charisma based).
There is also at will deeper darkness and because it doesn't have a spell level no light spells can cancel it, but you are unaffected.
One of my favorite abilities is flicker, it is essentially get out of all danger free card along with moving about a hundred feet.
Then there is void strike, I believe, which adds a fair amount of cold damage, not awesome but can be handy.
They also can be brutal debuffers as they have a couple of different abilities to automatically decrease checks, attacks,...etc.

I'm discovering that while I do eventually want to figure out the Binder class, I think for this campaign I'll pass it up for something easier. Like Artificer or Sha'ir or something. Thanks guys.

Your DM disallowed full casters but Artificer and Sha'iir are ok?!

(O_O)
No sir, that was my (seemingly failed) attempt at witty sarcasm in order to overstate how complicated I'm finding Binder to be.

By contrasting it to other difficult classes.

While trying to sound witty.

Which I failed at, apparently.

...have you seen the Sha'ir?! Playing that looks like a serious headache.

We had one in a party once. It was mostly just annoying, he made us wait around for minutes every situation we encountered so he could retrieve the best spell to solve the problem.

It's like being showed up by Batman Wizard and being forced to wait in line for the priviledge. >_<
