Help with book selections(now with Dawnforge mini-review!)

First Post
OK, I got loot for Christmas, and I'm looking to buy some D20 books. I've narrowed it down to 4, and I need help picking two of them.

Draconomicon: I paged through this one real fast the other day in Waldenbooks, it looks very good, and considering that the name of my campaign is "Those Who Hunt Dragons", about a team of dragonslayers, I think this might be a good one to pick up. If somebody else can suggest a better dragon book I'd like to know though.

Morningstar: I'll admit that this one does seem kinda pricey for it's size; 160 pages for 30 dollars; however the review I read on this site said it was good, and it sounds cool. However, the local game shop doesn't have a copy so I can't browse it.

Dawnforge: This one, I really like; I've been excited about Dawnforge for a long time, as Fantasy Flight Games has never done wrong by me(there books see more use than any other company, seriously); I didn't have much of a chance to peruse it at the local game store the other day(as it's Christmas rush and they shot me dagger looks) but it looks really good; it's price tag is a bit off-putting(35 bucks) until I can read a review, but since it's FFG, I'm willing to forego the review(and probably write one of my own).

Demonwars Campaign Setting: I really like this series, and while I don't like Fast Forward Games(FFE), it's 20 bucks, a little bit thin, but it's Demonwars. I'd like to hear some more about this one though.

Ergo, any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Can't say much about the other three, but If you are sure that you are going to have a chance to use it, I would definitely go with Draconomicon. That is a fabulous book.

Ah; I was figuring on picking that one up anyway; now I've only got to choose between the three campaign settings(although from what I've seen so far, the Dawnforge is what I'm leaning towards, although I'll probably change it extensively before I'm done).

My choices would be Draconomicon and Dawnforge. I have the first and am well pleased by it, and the second is also anticipated by myself. FFG is a company I like, and I have enjoyed their products that I have purchased. Dawnforge has an interesting premise, one that I have rarely seen (perhaps because I am not all that aware of all the offerings out there).

Morningstar also looks intriguing, but I am not familiar with the company. Demonwars holds no interest for me, so it's out due to personal bias alone.

What?

No book of Erotic Fantasy?

It's one of the top sellers online right now, according to frpgames.com. :D

I'd sit down with each book at your local store and try to count as many things from each that will definately see play within the next five sessions if you buy in. The book with the highest count is the one you should buy.

Tests roughly like that have shifted my buying before - it's why I now own obscure items like "Experts" (actually a gift - but recommended to fellow DM on the above test), "Magical Medieval Society", "Cityworks", "Crime and Punishment", but not the -kewl- books like "Dragonomicon", "Underdark", or "Dieties and Demigods".

Sorry, I'm on my sister's laptop and the arrangement of the keyboard is really odd.

Instead of getting an expensive hardback I'd get some of the cheaper softbound books like Heroes of High Favor. I recently got three of them for 20$ as a pacakage deal.
