How does one jump these said hoops? DM exceptions?PHB 2 but it's a specific class feature, not compatible with Ranger without some major hoop jumping.

JBear, I really like a lot of your ideas, but I was wondering if there's a way to completely flip this class to a ranged fighter while retaining the fighter/ranger hybrid. Thanks again!
umm ... that's just like err ... your opinion man.Hybrids suck!![]()
Right, if you want to go the other way around, just play a straight Bow Ranger. 18 dex 16 str. Be dumb instead of uncharismatic and Train Intimidate. There isn't much point. 4e fighters don't do ranged*, so if you want to be ranged primary, then you probably want to be straight ranger (possibly taking a warlord MC feat for 'classically trained noble warrior' flavor that's at least a little useful).
* Other than basic attacks, and possibly some obscure powers I can't remember right now.
No Hoop Jumping really required. 13 WIS is the prerequisite. Rangers benefit from WIs, so do Fighters. You can start with that from level 1 but that leaves your CON at 11, which means 1 healing surge less. How does one jump these said hoops? DM exceptions?
