Help with s/b build pls

It doesn't sound like you're having fun *now*.

Does your DM know that you and the monk are not enjoying yourselves?

I'm sure we (the party) know bout the monk. We talk bout it all the time. Last session he should up he just played games on his phone.

As for myself, it's too early for me to tell. I like the unspoken challenge. Once i realize the fight is lost then i'll quit. I got nothing better to do till then.

Do you think agile shield fighter and a ewp is worth the 2 feat slots? I mean my main concern at the moment with the build is stopping chargers, so i was thinking a 1h reach weapon (sword whip, or kasurigama) or getting hold the line.

What about learning how to woo women, or making more money, or cleaning the house, or seeking enlightenment, or becoming closer to God, or mowing the lawn, or catching tetanus?

  1. woo women-Married, my days of wooing are over
  2. make money-Work out of the home in my own biz, weekends are my days off
  3. cleaning house-hired someone for that, part of my weekends off
  4. seeking enlightenment-those who truly seek enlightenment have little choice in the matter
  5. closer to god- see 4
  6. mowing lawn- see 3
  7. tetanus- no thanx

I get what you are saying. I really do, just wanted some more insight in a game i know little bout. I'm looking into the suggestions previously mentioned.

The last S&B PC I played was a Half-Orc TWF Ranger who used a big Flail and a Spiked Shield.

Feats included TWF, Shield Bash, Power Attack, Monkey Grip, and maybe a couple of others. He was pretty effective, which is good, since he was the only freakin' warrior in the party.

But it was a short campaign. It broke up due to RW issues, not reaching a conclusion. It was over for him regardless, though: in the last session, he went over some guardrails into an abyssal chasm. (When you roll "2"s for your checks, something bad will happen no matter how hard the DM tries to help out.)

The initial total result- the one that first sent him tumbling- and the die roll were identical: there were certain negative mods due to the situation...that were perfectly balanced by my stats & training.

Subsequent rolls to do things like grab the rail as he went over and such were also 2s-4s on the die rolls- it was an obscenely bad sequence- but even with mods, never got to anywhere near saving him.

*splat*

(Not everyone tried their hardest to save him, though- the thief didn't remove his ring of Feather Falling and throw it to him so he could catch it, John Woo style. Selfish bastard.)

It's just like wearing a ring of feather falling, except it only works if you're next to a wall and only for a few feet!
