help with Sundering

Negative Zero

First Post
i'm certain i read a feat somewhere that allowed one to either do double damage on a sunder attempt or ignore some of an object's hardness, but i can't find it. does anyone know where this feat-in-hiding is? or have i just finally gone batty and failed to notice it ...

of course!!!! :D many thanks

'nother Q:
i'm a lil concerned about how it might interact with the 3.5 rules and more specifically, the 3.5 version of Improved Sunder. d'you think that the 3.5 feat replaces this one? they seem to do different things, but i'm concerned that together, they'd be too powerful.

The Improved Sunder feat of 3.5 is the Sunder feat from 3.0 so I really don't see any problem with the old Improved Sunder Feat. PErhaps just call in Greater Sunder but keep the requirements and effect the same.

I live to serve :D

Does that mean you are a serf? :)

Anyway, since a version of improved sunder from 3.0 has made it into Complete Warrior or any other 3.5 material yet, I as a DM would be more than hesitant about allowing it.

Did you mean it has not made it?

I would take note that most 3.0 mechanics that granted a doubling now grant +2d6 damage. If I were to allow a "greater sundering" feat in the style of 3.0 improved sunder, I would certainly restrict it to +2d6 and not double damage.
