HELP - WotC server

I can't get in with either IE or Netscape, nor can I go directly to the boards (I get routed right back to the main page, which doesn't work.) This has been going on for about a week or so.

One suggestion: Have you cleared all temporary Internet files? This can sometimes affect getting to a site with lots of javascript and ASP code, depending on what they use.

I use IE 6.0 and have had no problems today getting to the site. I just read the whole "web developer" article this morning thanks to Morrus' link.

Already did that - and I'm sure it isn't temp files.

Today, I can't get onto the www.wizards.com site but I can get onto the message boards which are boards.wizards.com - which suggests to me that the problem is a server one with www.wizards.com rather than an internet route problem.

Maybe you can put in a query on the WotC boards? Those babies are a heck of a lot more "secure" than a website rigging...

I'm using AT&T, and IE 5.5 and haven't been able to connect reliably for over a week.

That has my alarm bells going off. There is one thing that WotC MIGHT have been forced to do. Are the people who are having trouble using the At&T system? - For WotC to "all of a sudden start having problems" with the server is strange.

Something tells me that some geezer might have hit WotC with a Denial of Service attack, and WotC was forced to thus "K-line" everything coming over AT&T IP's, at least. If somebody can put an official question in as to the nature of the technical problem over on WotC boards - and post the reply here; it would be much appreciated. They posted a notice that they were having technical problems that should be resolved over the memorial day holiday - evidently... they haven't been.

Me (sort of)

I had problems earlier today as well, though they seem to have disappeared. Anyhow, I was getting a 500 message, which means "internal server error", and so it was wizards.com server with the problem.
