Heroes Death Pool: Writers Strike FINAL ROUND!

Oh god no... The image of Maya taking a central role as Mohinder or Matt's love interest makes me want to burn my cable box. Hell even having her become Matt and Mohinder's maid is too much for my sanity EVEN if her role is scaled down to Lyle Bennet proportions.
Yes, but she can exit stage left with Molly and have cameos every now and then, freeing up Matt and Mohinder for other things.

Nathan died like a chump. I think he still had a lot of story left in him. Shame to see him go.

What I dont' get is why they bothered to bring back characters just to kill them again:

Nathan is presumptively dead at the end of last season, but no! He's actually saved by Adam, then killed again (my bet is by HRG).

DL is presumptively dead at the end of last season, but no! He makes a miraculous recovery and then dies, like Nathan, like a chump.

Nikki's death was quite appropriate. What she needed to save her bacon was the very thing she didn't have because of the virus -- super strength. Still, a pretty horrible death for what I thought was a sympathetic character.

Can we please watch Ma Patrrelli die a horrible death now? Pretty please? Putting her in the box with Adam would suit me just fine.

Wouldn't it be better if Maya and Mohinder did fall in love and then go back to Honduras and never be seen again.

We could cry our little eyes out with black tears of joy. :D

Well, congrats to Hand of Evil (and the other close callers)!

My own picks were both teased if we count Maya dying and coming back, and Elle getting close to being shot by Sylar (and constantly one step away from Bob deciding she might be a liability). Nevertheless, I am glad that they finished the Nikki story in a way that makes it very unlikely she would return. I guess they can still save almost anyone, moreso Nathan, but then the writing gets tough since he died on live television (within the show).

The only way I see her coming back is if a new villian is a necromancer or if Miccah becomes schizophrenic and ends up having Nikki and DL as his primary delusions.

How about finding out that this volume was just an alternate timeline? I would hate that!

With resepct to Nikki coming back, given that:

1 - Obscure Death: Nikki's death is not shown on screen and is therefore, not certain; and,
2- Resurrection Power: i.e., the power to bring somebody back from the dead is a real possibility in the Heroes milieu; and,
3- Flashbacks: Flashback scenes in which Nikki is involved do not require any alteration to any death story; and,
4- Illusionary Participant: The power of illusion and shapeshifting present in the Heroes series is a real force and allows for limited involvement of "Nikki" (or a simulacrum thereof) in a future storyline; and,
5- Time Travel: As distinct from a flashback, the presence of time travel on the Heroes series as a real theme and typical plot device leads us to yet another possible way to involve a dead character in any current storyline,

We can comfortably say with certainty that nothing is certain regarding Nikki. She may be back at some point in the future - she may not be. We simpy do not know.

Save the mother save the child? Save the child save the world? That storyline would suck.. unless evil Miccah ends up building Skynet
