Liam stepped into the main building, rolling his eyes as the Kobald fell, suposedly, to its death. He saw the Sorcerer running for the stairs and sent another blast of Eldritch Energy at it, while at the same time sending some will into his staff, hightening his abilities with it. Just in case. He really needed to find time to summon that familiar he read about in his Celestial Tome.

OOC:
Eldritch Blast: [roll0]
Damage: [roll1]

Bonus Action: Shillelagh.

I keep forgetting to summon my familiar. Oh well. Maybe when this is over.

The kobold sorcerer gave a cry as she was hit by Liam’s eldritch blast between the shoulders. She fell to the floor and lay still.

OOC: Save your arrow and Sleep spell

“Yay!” Sayine cried out as the kobold fell. “Oh, ouch!” she whined as she fluttered inside and onto the strange black table.

OOC: Combat is over for now.

Liam walked up and studied the table. It was twenty feet in diameter and seemed to be made of some sort of highly polished black obsidian, so polished it shone in the sunlight coming through the windows, even after all these years. It was large and heavy, set on a single black obsidian block. From the center of the table rose a slender column of obsidian that held up a small obsidian cup-like bowl. Around the edges of the table, spaced evenly, were hemispheric depressions carved into the table, the same size and depth as the raised center cup. Inlaid above each depression, and on the cup itself, were glyphs made of arcanite..

As Liam circled the table, his foot kicked something, and he heard it rolling further under the table. Investigating, he found a small black ball of obsidian about two and a half inches in diameter. It had an arcanite glyph inlaid on it as well. Liam noticed that the glyph matched one of the glyphs by one of the depressions.

[sblock=Arcana 10]You know that arcanite is a rare gemstone that has the property to store and direct magical energies and is therefore useful and prized by wizards and other practitioners of magic.[/sblock]

[sblock=Arcana 13]You recognize the glyphs as arcane symbols as magical glyphs that represent the various cosmological planes.[/sblock]

"These glyphs are made from Arcanite," Liam says, holding up the stone. "Very good for storing and redirecting magical energies. And these glyphs represent different planes..."

He moves to the depression that matches the glyph on the ball, studying it for a moment.

Shrugging, he set the ball into the depression.
