Heroes Season 3... Sept 15?? Origins dead

No big surprise here. Obviously, production on Origins was disrupted by the strike, and there's no telling if Heroes will return enjoying the same level of popularity. They can't just say "we'll just wait and see" (actually they could, but big businesses avoid that level of honesty when it comes to public relations).

I wonder, can any of us forgive Tim Kring because of the lengthy strike or ... Strike or No Strike, he should have delivered the same high-quality show as the first season?

BTW, in case you haven't noticed, Hollywood industry is looming for another strike ... by the actors this time around.

I've always felt Heroes was only on the cusp of getting me excited about watching it, so I don't see the massive discrepancy is quality that others comment on. It always had plot holes, it was always littered with contrived plotlines and characters, nobody ever really represented the kind of hero I'd like to see.

Sure, another fine incentive to leave Origins off the table for a while. They'd have to be high to move ahead with a spin-off at this juncture.

While I was no big fan of Season 2 (though I may be the only person I know who liked the plague twins and just felt the ball was dropped with them) and thought it could be much better - I don't really agree with Kring's analysis.

I liked the twins, and I was sorry that their story from the first episode they appeared in was stretched out over... every episode they subsequently appeared in.

I liked the relationship between Alexandro and Maya, and I think the story would have been richer (and potentially more interesting) if the writers had been able and willing to develop them, rather than just them as a silly foil to demonstrate how nasty Sylar is.

After seeing the early previews/hype on NBC, I'm already pretty down on it.

I still see that twit blonde what's-her-face (Edit: Niki) is still in it, I hate Sylar (now), and I'm completely not interested in "Villains" - especially if that's the focus of this season.

Maybe Heroes isn't for me anymore... but I'll still give it a chance!

I think part of the problem was too much jumping around and not enough advancement/ resolution. It was only made worse by them replaying the same drama from the first season with Claire & Dad. They spent the first season bringing all the heroes together, then immediately split them up and started moving to bring the Heroes together again...

I didn't like the last few episodes of season1, and season 2 just never caught me. I find that the "admission of mistakes" is simply him copy-pasting what all the fans have said, without any self realization. This leads me to think there won't be any true correcting of the mistakes, since they don't really understand what went wrong.

So, I'm done with Heroes... I only really read these threads out of morbid curiosity. :)

I think some mistakes will definitely get fixed. The most likely one is the realization that they can't do love stories. So we probably won't have to worry about Claire in some teenage agnsty love story with Stalker Boy again.

Now if they would just get around to killing Peter, Sylar, Mohinder, Nikki, Claire's Mom and Claire's Brother. Mr. Muggles though can be allowed to live.
