Hey Rouse! (a couple things about the character builder)

Lord Xtheth

Explorer
I've encountered a couple things in the character builder. The first of which is when I clicked "Report a bug" I was sent to a "change my password" screen, not the bug reporting screen.

The second was the bug I found. In powers where there is a burst effect that changes over levels, the cards cut off the end of the descriptions. My suggestion is to set it up so it only uses the blast size you're capable of doing at that level.

Sorry for plaguing these forums with this, but this is the only place I know that the DnD team come to... and I can still post in.

The bug report forums are for bug reporting on forums.

The report a bug link only works if you don't have a pop-up blocker.

"You called Master?"

"I'll let the devs know on Monday me lord" ;)

As long as this thread's here...

I had done some searches for this bug, but it's not a terribly unique thing to search for.

Quarterstaves don't add their enhancement bonus to powers with the Weapon keyword.

It's a big issue for me since one of my players is playing a fighter who specializes in staves, and I'm about to start playing a cleric/wizard who uses one since it makes it cuts down the need for a separate wizard implement.

The bug that annoys me most are the formatting errors for some power. IIRC, some of them are even class powers (Dragonborn?), which means its hard to avoid! I hope they fix that soon.

Hey Rouse!

Here is my test for the development team.

1.) Make a class (any class except wizard or swordmage) at any level past 1st (shoot for at least 5th). The character must have a 13 int and a 13 wis.

2.) Make him dual-class into wizard (multi-class feat) as his first feat.

3.) Give him extra spellbook as his second feat.

TA-DA! Instant "every class can have two dailies" power! You don't even need to select Any of the higher level swap-feats, you can just rock out your main class with two dailies (pick 1 a day).

Is that SUPPOSED to happen?

(Also, add "deity" to the list of possible house-rules in the campaign section, so that not every PC with custom deity (including "none") is house-ruled.)

I just noticed the program calculates an unarmed basic ranged attack on the character sheet. What is the character going to do, throw chunks of himself for 1d4 damage?

I've been having issues with the "Report a Bug" (And, come to think of it, the "Change Password") features for a while now. I keep getting random technical errors and invalid passwords and I WANT TO KILL BECAUSE OF IT.

If you hear about any particularly gruesome murders over the weekend, it's because of DDI. ;)
