High damage hits?

What is the highest damage hit you can get?

Example: lvl 20 Paladin with a merciual greatsword. He has cast Holy Sword on it.

sword- 2d6 for average of 6
strength-20 for mod of 5
magic enchantment on sword- 5
misc mods - 4
power attack- 20

6+5+5+4+20=40
crit
40*4=160
Spirited charge
160*3=480
versus evil (from Holy Sword spell)
480*2=960

So total damage from this one hit equals 960 not to bad.

Your stacking is incorrect. x2 from lance + x2 from Spirited Charge = x3, x3 + x2 from holy sword = x4, x4 + x4 from crit = x7. Also, average damage from a 2d6 weapon is 7.

This yields a result of 41 * 7 = 287 damage.

Another popular trick is rhino hide armor.

2 actually. :) And yes. One swing from his katana can be very painful.

Though I don't think it'll ever come close to the paladin super smite spirited charge power attack. At least, not Carpe's version of it. :) But the great thing is, it can be manipulated to be more than one attack as the smacks demonstrate. Of course, that's where it gets hazy in the rules interpretations, but that's how the iaijutsu smacks compete.
