Higher Level Potion Idea

Except each staff function has to be used seperately, here you'd drnk one potion and get multiple results. Basically it's like having a quickened function on the staff.

Except that that's not always a benefit...

For example, say you wanted to be extra strong, so you could knock down a locked door that's too tough for the rogue. However, the only potion you have left is the Bull's Strength/Cat's Grace combination potion. Do you drink it, wasting the Cat's Grace half of the potion? Or do you sit around and wait a day, so the wizard can memorize Knock?

Guessing...

It would make sense as an ability for that PrC, or one similar to it, don't you agree?

The Candle caster PrC has a similar ability... mixing magical effects in the candles they create.

Yeah, it definitely makes sense. Good to know about the candle caster. I'll check it out when I get home.

Ah, very true. It should probably be a feat or a PrC special ability AND include the higher cost factor for combining effects.

I like the idea! I'd make it a feat- Brew Mixture or something. (I already have a Brew Elixier feat that allows up to 6th level spells in potions.)

But, having a potion that does the job of two cure serious wounds or a minimum of 6d8+10 is huge. Sure, there might be times that it is incovinet, but at least in your example you get those benefits for an hour if not more. I think the benfits out way the possible incovience.
