Fitscairn was his name, if I recall correctly, and he was one my favorite supporting characters on the show along with Darious. I'm glad it's back on and will definitely be watching it

Methos was interesting especially the episode with the four Horsemen.

The watchers were an interesting idea...Joe keeping an eye on Mac .

The series had some low points as well and I think slan was one of them ...but the cool thing was seeing Christoph back on ther series tying it to the movies. The main thing that bugged the hell out of me was the mention of the Kurgan but the dismissal of the first movie. The second and third movies were crap and the last one was interesting but bad because i was such a fan of the first one.

The first movie ended with Connor killing the bad guy and winning the prize. He
and the love interest then drove into the sunset. We were never told exactly
what the prize was, but Connor hinted at that it was somekinda'infinite
wisdom' or something.

In the second movie we jump ahead into a cyberpunk future where the ozon
layer has pretty much vanished, roasting the earth and killing half the population
including Connor's wife (from the first film). Connor uses his 'infinite wisdom'
thingyand builds a force field around the world to work as a ozon layer. It works,
but the world is shrouded in eternal darkness. Oh and it turns out that Immortals
are criminals from the planet Zeist. As more aliens come to earth, Connor looses
the prize and "re-quickens". Killing the aliens, he rewins the prize. End of movie.

Highlander the Series and Highlander: Raven. The series work ok, except they
ignore the second movie and the fact that Connor won the prize in the first film.
Haven't seen much of it.

Highlander III ignores the ending of the first movie, the second movie and the
series. It was meant as a kind of a 'redemption' over the second film. So he got
married to the chick in the first movie and had a son (adopted). Connor hasn't
encountered an other immortal for years but then an old enemy (Mario van Peeples)
from his pastreturns after being locked inside some vault for centuries. They fight,
Connor does some beheading and he wins the prize... again. What it was exactly,
we don't know. You could always say that this movie simply takes place after the
series ends it's run and is that way in continuity.

Highlander: Endgame. Follows the continuity of the series and ignores the other
movies completely. Duncan does a lot of beheadings, including of Connor, but is
yet to win the prize. Yay! At least it's an open ending for a change!

*Sigh*

How are you gonna make sense of that? Easy, through years of training from
reading comics (especially 90s X-Men) and watching Star Trek (especially VOY)
I give you the timeline paradox theory. The movies/series/whatever all take place
in different paralell universes in hypertime.

Here's how it makes some sense:

Timeline A
Connor fights Clancy Brown (the last other immortal) and wins the prize. The End.
What to watch? Just 'Highlander'.


Timeline B
Connor fights Clancy Brown (the last other immortal) and wins the prize. He then
ages and saves the world from being roasted using the wisdom the prize gives him.
Turns out he's an alien. More aliens arrive, he re-quickens, kills them all and rewins
the prize, gets a new girlfriend and return to his planet with her. The End.
What to watch? 'Highlander' and 'Highlander II'.


Timeline C
Connor fights Clancy Brown (the second last other immortal alive) and wins, but
does not win the prize. He gets married and adopts a son. The last other immortal
returns and fights Connor. Connor beheads him and wins the prize. The End.
What to Watch? 'Highlander' (minus the ending) and 'Highlander III'.


Timeline D
Connor fights Clancy Brown (one of many immortals still alive) and wins, but does
not win the prize. He gets married and has a son. We meet Duncan and others and
sometime after the series ends, Duncan gets killed. Then the last other immortal
except for Connor returns and fights Connor. Connor beheads him and wins the
prize. The End.
What to Watch? 'Highlander' (minus the ending), 'Highlander the Series',
'Highlander: Raven' and 'Highlander III' (takes place after the two series).


Timeline E
Connor fights Clancy Brown (one of many immortals still alive) and wins, but does
not win the prize. We meet Duncan and others. Connor freaks out and gets Duncan
to kill him. Duncan then goes on to kill that Endgame bad guy. To Be Continued.
What to Watch? 'Highlander' (minus the ending), 'Highlander the Series',
'Highlander: Raven' and 'Highlander: Endgame'.
