[Hive] How many scrolls could the Hivers scribe if the Hivers could scribe scrolls?

Wait wait wait, so the one-shot is going to be based in your home-brew world? (the silver plains make me think so) If so, then I will play "Ultimate" Angcuru Cukhelek.

Just a note, this is a completely different Angcuru than the one whom I take my SN, whos is the one in my SH(which was updated last night).

But I'll play him on the condition that we drop the bow specialization since it never gets used and beef up the dual-soul-sucking-sword-swinging specialization.

Meh.

well while he's still got the bow, he's now a few years older, he's got both Stormbrand and Balefire, and he's got the mystical powers associated with a Warder(levitation, able to communicate with plants and animals, and...other cool powers that you're gonna have to play him to find out).

And it's not necessarily a one-shot; it's a dungeon crawl and I've got a lot of ideas for dungeon levels, so Castle Zelyon will pose a challenge for quite a while.

As for it being on my homebrew world, well, you'll have to play to find out the details behind that.

And it's "Ultimates". As in the Marvel comics "Ultimates" which from what Chris told me are an Elseworlds; these are new takes on old characters(well, except for James, obviously); Greymore has steamtech, Angcuru has both swords and mystical powers, Agon is more like Superman with armor than ever, and Tak is a purveyor of magical experiments(it's what gives him his powers).

And if you think those sound badarse, wait until you see Tremayne, Bre Dalla, and the rest of the old baddies. They've gotten whole new looks and powers. :) :) :)

Regarding the village - if the stream of adventurers causes there to be problems between the villagers and the residents of the castle, the village could become a small fortification, resembling a 'humanoid' village more than a standard human one.

ie: Mostly underground (maybe taking over and expanding on some old goblin or harpy caves?), with farmland around the village, and only the ruins of the old village on the surface.

That way, when the :):):):) hits the fan, the villagers can retreat to the village, guard the one or two entrances, and hope for the best instead of having the village razed over and again. When there AREN'T adventurers about, they farm, when there are, they farm, trade, and so on, but generally don't farm the outermost fields or the ones too close to the castle (ie: so close that they won't have time to run back to the caves).

This setup lends some more verisimilitude, makes the village somewhat "post apocalyptic" feeling, and keeps the villagers both edgy and not TOO hostile to adventurers.

Hmm, that's a good idea, Hellhound. A very good idea, and one that I'm gonna incorporate into Gateside(the working name of the mining town turned adventurer waypoint that's on the Dominarian side of the gate). I've decided that the castle is definitely on a different plane though, and accessible through a gate that the village has uncovered.

Well, I have my hands, at least... don't know about you people.

Perhaps Crothian has multiple hands... maybe that's how he posts so much, so often...

I have a test tomorrow. School is taking TOO MUCH TIME!

School is fun! :)

Aw... who the heck am I kidding. School sucks out loud.

At least I don't have any tests in the near future... I think...
