Controversial end to UK Robot Wars - The 6th Wars
So it's Razer and Tornado through to the final. Razer you should be familiar with if you've watched Robot Wars, it's the one with the crushing beak thing. Fantastic robot, won the last wars.
Tornado is basically a pushing robot, very powerful, lots of grip, almost no weaponry.
And in the final, suddenly Tornado is sporting a spinning blade on the front, supported by a large grid frame all around the robot, so that Razer can't actually get to anything vulnerable! Also, the size of Tornado now makes it impossible to fit in the Pit, which turns out to be fortuitous because Razer does actually get it on top of the pit, but unfortunately not in it.
and the judges decision goes to Tornado...
If anyone has ever watched Robot Wars, cheer me up here. It's like watching some defeat your BBEG by use of the Smackdown thread. Depressing stuff.
