Don't know how I missed that the first time!![]()
How as that concert?
(CYA Arwink!)
Eternalknight said:Awesome. I can't think o a better way to describe it. I went with my gf and even though she isn't really a fan she loved every minute of it. They played with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, and at one point also the australian Children's Choir, and the sound.... It blew me away. I have been to KISS concerts before, but this was something special![]()

Was it all four original members?![]()
Eternalknight said:3 of them (Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley and Peter Criss). Unfortuneately, Ace Frehely has opted out of the band (again) and is again concentrating on his solo career (which in comparison o KISS failed miserably). He was replaced by a guy named Tommy Thayer, who if truth be told is probably a better guitarist anyway![]()
Mark CMG said:
Frehely's loss is Thayer's gain. Too bad for the fans, though.![]()
Mark CMG said:So who else is up and coming from Oz that we've probably not heard about in the States yet?![]()

There is a band called The Androids (they opened for KISS) and they have a song called Do It With Madonna which is pretty cool, they were good live too. Another couple of young ladies, one called Holly Valance who is big here and in England (I have actually met her once, nice girl), she had a couple of hits with Kiss Kiss and Naughty Girl, and Delta Goodrem who sings mainly ballads, and has had two hits with Born to try and Lost Without You.
It always seems hard for Aussies to break into the American market. Apart from Savae Garden and Kylie Minogue, who else do you know from Australia?

INXS, Midnight Oil, Divinyls, Natalie Imbruglia, AC/DC, Esikimo Joe, Nick Cave... That's about all I can come up with right off.![]()
