[Hivemind] Dreams long past!

I've managed to avoid Neverwinter Nights so far.

I fear for the very little time I have these days, if I were to become addicted to a computer game again... I might have to give up the little bit of sleep I have left every few days :D.

RPGnow has been glitchy this weekend... and I'm sitting here waiting patiently for two purchases to clear through the system so I can download them and get to work on something...

Patience...

bloody hell, who let the serfs in again?

---

As an aside, speaking of time-wasters, I started playing Magic the Gathering again at the insistance of the gelflings. Seems they learned how to play at the Wizards booth @ GenCon, and have been begging me to break out my 1993 to 1998 collection for them to play with.

Reminds me...

Maldur does, that is, not those bloody serfs. They remind me of things too, but not good things...

Have to post a press release for Steam & Steel today with the revised cover graphic.

Meanwhile, the serfs are reminding me (via pitchforks into the hivemind implant) to turn off my .sig while posting here.

Yay!

*waves flaming pitchfork and pointy torch... wait, that's not right...*

Now I just need to get together enough motivation to carry on with writing the next thing on my list, the Biothaumaturgist's Handbook. And send in that article proposal to Dragon. And do all that silly university work as well.

Neverwinter Nights is good, and especially amazing for what the gaming community are doing with the toolset (check out the City of Doors Initiative, it's sodding amazing what they're doing to bring Planescape to the computer :) ). But I've played it enough now, and the little niggles about how they implemented the 3e system into the crpg have taken their toll on my desire to continue playing it. Hoping there'll be a NWN2 scheduled for soon after the next expansion pack for the original comes out!

And M:tG... good fun when I used to play it, best I ever did was coming 4th at the Sealed Deck tournament at a Gencon UK a few years ago. Woulda come 1st or 2nd too if I hadn't been mana screwed in my first round :( Thing is, it's a bit of a money pit to keep up with standard format torunament play, but I still occasionally play a booster draft with my mates.

Games should be played for fun, As magic turned into a pro thing . I stopped liking it ( that and deck building, I hate deckbuilding)

See, I saw deckbuilding as part of the fun, but it isn't fun when you have to pay over 5 quid per card for some of the essential cards to your deck.

Appearantly so. Although she hasn't graced the Hive with her presence.

Wow. Where'd she post?

She's been gone for months. With both her and Horacio disappearing, Horade went down the tubes pretty fast. I wonder if that'll change if she is indeed returned.
