Going on 4 years now Tabarnak. I work in finance, leasing, and obviously, e-mail correspondance. I used to work on the floor too Tabarnak.

I don't know why, I really like your name Tabarnak.

Yes, saying it has somekind of... hmm... liberating effect, wouldn't you say?

Do you buy your stuff at Valet d'Coeur (our local FLGS) ?

Of course I do, but i hear that the Donjon (metro Bleury if i'm not mistaken) has a lot of stuff and good prices.

I still have no idea what FLGS means (i'll assume that GS stands for Gaming Store)

Are you considering switching to 3.5 Tabarnak ?

Nah, i'm stuck with a group of guys who were really hard to convert from 2nd Ed to 3.0, so i'm not going to impose 3.5 on them. They hate change (especially since i've always imposed, in the past, a butt-load of sometimes ill-thought house roules), and that they want to stick to the system as is, whatever the flaws it may have.

But this has nothing to do with the Hivemind. Or does it? Yes it does. But does it?

Look over there! That Croissant is eating someone!

scuttles away

ok, I misspelled it, bite me:p (pun intended)

Hehe... :p

Actually, I HATE croissants.

The French are croissants eaters. Me and Tabarnak are not French, but we speak english and french.

We are from Montreal, Canada. Not a lot of french speaking canadians are croissants eaters. It's either a quick toast and cofee, cereals, or eggs and meat.

Basically, your average north-american breakfast.

Now, can I be MORE boring ?

The AC at work isn't working. I'm sweating like a drunken ogre.

Yes indeed Tabarnak.

Is that so...

Even then, I want to support Valet d'Coeur. Ted the owner has been a good customer of mine at Steve's (he's a great composer).

Friendly Local Gaming Store

Oh well...

I alternate DM'ing with my buddy, and we just can't keep playing 3.0 without a sh... load of house rules. The players feel like they're missing out on cool stuff, hence we convert.

Do you have a game going ?

Yes and no Tabarnak :p

Hey ! Hold it right there mon Sacramant!

runs after Tabarnak

Stabs the evil Croissant with a butter knife and fills its fluffy innards with chocolate

Now that's a good breakfast.

I've been many, many times to the Valet d'Coeur. Who's Ted (I mean does he work in the store / what does he look like / Is he one of the twins that (lately) keeps singing "tiny bubbles" because of the Homer Simpson Singing Doll?)

"rules aren't important, its the role-playing that's important" or so one of my players keeps trying to convince me of :)

I have, indeed, a few games going on. I play with a 1st group of 4 people (including 3 alternating DM's), a second group of 5 people (including 2 alternating DM's, eventually more) and a third group of which I am the DM, since they just recently started playing D&D again.

Did I mention I have a very understanding girlfriend? (she doesn't play) :D

Anywho, off to some more Croissant-unrelated business.

peas and luv y'all

Ted is the Japanese guy. He's the owner.

Listen Tabarnak... I might be interested in joining one of your games, but I don't want to impose. I would like to discuss it. It depends on your-my gaming style. Face to face maybe. Like I said, I would love to meet a fellow ENWorlder.

Yeah, I got one of these too. AND two kids (11 YO son and 13 YO daughter). I'm 34 YO myself.

She is very understanding as well, I sometimes play at home. And sometimes comes watch our game for a little while.

She tried d20 Modern for two months, but didn't really bite (she did enjoy herself, just not enough).

BTW, tonight is my final d20 Modern game session. The game reaches the climax and the PC's will go out with either a bang (victory) or a splat.

After that, I will prepare my 3.5 game.

Guess I've never seen Ted.

I'll send you an email concerning the rest. Somehow the thread is evolving into "Montreal Gamers Get-Together" :)

Now let's get back to general wackiness (and sargeant Croissant-Benign)

Thanks !

Nowadays, the Hive talks about us poor delvers who don't have the chance to go to GenCon, and Leo Di Caprio being considered for the role of Tony Stark in the upcoming movie Iron Man.

shuders...
